Exercise is one of the key ways to feel good about yourself and improve your mental health. We’ve teamed up with personal trainer, Jemma Thomas to offer a year’s membership at Jemma’s Health Hub. An online community focusing on helping hubbers feel supported and mentally stronger through regular fitness workouts, it has experienced a huge spike in membership since lockdown began as women search for new and creative ways of working out.
As well as four half hour work-outs each week, Jemma provides advice on calming techniques and gives a reassuring voice at a time when we need it most. Jemma says: “I promote exercise as therapy and truly believe that it has magical powers. I work out to improve and maintain my own mental health and my main aim with The Hub is to help others see that it’s not all about weight or physical appearance, it’s about how good exercise can make you feel.”
Membership to Jemma’s Health Hub is £29 per month and for that you receive three or four workouts a week, taking place on facebook live at 6.30 am (Monday - leg day, Wednesday - abs and arm day, Friday - cardio day, and kettlebells thrown in for good measure!). However, if you can’t make the 6.30 am wake up calls, you can log in and do it when it suits you. You also receive a downloadable ‘How To’ guide including over 35 brilliant recipes to try out, as well as a tick chart to help you track your progress. Most importantly though, it gives you an amazing support network and an instructor who will be there for you, helping you feel supported and mentally stronger as time goes on.
